Lucy Harris played on the 1975 Pan American Games (winning gold) and 1977 Universiade (winning silver) team in addition to the Olympic team.
After graduating from college, she was drafted by the New Orleans Jazz of the NBA, although she did not make a serious effort to make the team. She played one year of pro basketball in the WBL but her career was interrupted by pregnancy. Later, as Mrs. George Stewart, she became admissions counselor and assistant basketball coach at Delta State.
